What other sitcom but ‘The Big Bang Theory’ would feature the Doppler effect? I ask you? Christian Doppler would be so pleased. Finally I have my beloved Big Bang Theory back on Mondays and also Sundays. I still think they could have started with the first series but atleast that is available on DVD.
Nerds, beautiful women & awkward sexual tension, ah it takes me back to… well to last week actually.
Thank god for the silly season!

And now we have the answer to that age old question that plagued Arnold Rimmer so in episode 3 series 1 of ‘Red Dwarf’:

What does the red spectrum tell us about quasars?

Well it is the Doppler effect which tells us the quasar is moving away from us & so the light waves are stretched out until they appear red which is the longest visible wave length. This is the reason they use red for stop on the traffic lights because they are the easiest to see in thick fog. You see I’m not just a pretty font!

And fyi, Rajesh’s girlfriend is hot! I’ve always had a thing for Indian girls. Even his mother is hot!
